Sumatra is facing a period of deep hardship as floods and landslides hit three provinces—Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra—severely disrupting access to several areas and affecting thousands of residents who are now in need of urgent assistance.

In response to the disaster, VICI and LAKONI, in collaboration with OBOR Berkat, deployed teams to affected areas to deliver aid, supplying essential equipment—such as portable generators and jet cleaner machines—to support post-disaster cleanup and recovery efforts

VICI & LAKONI also expressed hope that the aid distribution is expected to contribute to ongoing repair and recovery efforts following the floods and landslides in Sumatra, particularly in the hardest-hit communities, and that the assistance would help restore conditions and support the gradual resumption of daily activities.
